Our first swimming clinic was a complete success.

In Surfing Smiles we added a new water sport in our activities, with the help of the Don Bosco Foundation on Wheels and Lane 4tro We added swimming to our list of water sports activities, in addition to being able to arrive to the city of Guadalajara for the first time.

With this we will allow more people to have access to our sports programs, since the basis of all other water sports is, of course, swimming and having this new activity in the catalog allows us to teach new people with disabilities to swim. .

In addition, swimming allows a greater connection with the body, since even with mobility limitations, motor skills are greater in the water since the weight of the body is reduced.

Here we share the first impressions of one of the mothers of our participants in this clinic:

My son has loved water since he was little and it hurt me that there were no opportunities for him in swimming schools, gyms or sports clubs because “he doesn't seem to listen” or because he “doesn't pay attention” to the teacher's instructions.

On Sunday, October 9, we experienced the first PARA SWIMMING clinic and introduction to SURFing in the pool. Lane4tro, the best day for him in several years. His look of amazement at seeing such an immense pool in his eyes, the joy of having jumped into the water and splashing, going around the entire pool, changing from one pool to another enjoying the freedom of being able to do so, his smile of satisfaction and the amazement at Getting on a surfboard was wonderful for him and a great joy for me, who only wishes my son's happiness living in freedom.
